Google Ads Send Message On WhatsApp Tests
Google Ads has recently started the distribution of “Click-to-WhatsApp” message assets, expanding its Google advertising services and allowing advertisers to add direct messaging capabilities in their advertisements.
This feature allows WhatsApp users to start a chat with businesses directly from Google Ads, streamlining customer engagement and lead generation(Search Engine Roundtable)(Search Engine Roundtable).
Currently, it is being tested in India and Brazil as part of a beta rollout. This feature can be set up for the advertiser’s responsive search ads, with its configuration including the setting up of a message asset directly linking to the advertiser’s WhatsApp Business account. Businesses require a WhatsApp Business number to access the feature and may include a starter message that adheres to the policies of Google Ads.
